Two men wounded in drive-by shooting

A man was shot twice in front of his house and remains in hospital.

A man was shot twice during a drive-by shooting on Monday at around 14:00, at Phomolong in Mhluzi.

The victim was in his car with a friend, just outside his home, when the incident occurred.

The suspects allegedly drove past and opened fire, using a rifle, and the victim suffered severe injuries.

He was shot twice in his lower body and was rushed to the Life Midmed Hospital. The passenger was shot in the hand and taken to the Middelburg Hospital.

The car was riddled with bullet holes after the shooting.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown at this stage, and the matter is under investigation.
