Man’s body found in mountains

A man’s body was found on top of a mountain in the Skierlik area in Doornkop just after 10:00 on Sunday.

When the police arrived on the scene, they found the man lying between rocks, facing upwards.

The deceased has not yet been identified, and the Middelburg police urge anyone with information that may assist in locating the deceased’s family to contact Detective Sergeant Vusi Mathibela on 079 530 0938.

• Colonel Jabu Ndubane (Provincial Media Office) confirmed that an inquest has been opened.
