Watch: Partial road closures announced for ongoing repairs

Partial road closures have kicked off in Walter Sisulu Street, with Cowen Ntuli Street and Meyer Street next in line

The Steve Tshwete Municipality has issued a notice regarding ongoing road repairs and maintenance, which will result in partial road closures over the coming weeks.

The affected roads and dates are as follows:

  • Walter Sisulu Street: 24 ‒ 28 July.

  • Cowen Ntuli Street: 29 July ‒ 5 August.

  • Meyer Street: 6 ‒ 13 August.

Motorists are advised to expect traffic congestion during this period and to make use of alternative routes where possible.

Peak traffic hours are from Monday to Thursday, 06:30 ‒ 08:30 and 16:00 ‒ 18:00, and on Fridays from 13:30 ‒ 18:00.
