The driver of a silver VW Polo is lucky to be alive after an accident with a truck today.
The accident happened on the corner of Meyer Street and Dr Beyers Naude St.
Two vehicles, a truck and a silver grey VW Polo were involved in the accident.
According to the driver of the truck, Mvangeli Msibi, the Polo driver swerved from his lane, despite attempts to avoid the Polo, it collided with the wheels of the truck.
Other witnesses also confirmed that the Polo swerved leading to the collision.
The Polo was driving from the Kanonkop direction, while the truck was driving towards Kanonkop at the time of the collision.
No injuries were sustained.
The scene of the accident was cleared.
