From Excellent to Magnificent

Referee to officiate in grand finale on Saturday.

Since his good performance at the 2025 Craven Week, referee Excellent Mnkomo’s career has shot up like a meteorite.

You could say he went from Excellent to Magnificent.

On Saturday, he faces a big test when the whistle blows in Pretoria at 14:00 for the SDC Noordvaal Cup final between Helpmekaar and Garsfontein.

This will be a pressure-cooker showdown between Johannesburg and Pretoria’s pride.

In addition, he has been chosen to officiate the u/21 showdown between the Leopards and Blue Bulls at the Menlopark High School field on Friday afternoon.

Excellent is a former student of Kanonkop High School who is now officiating under the Limpopo Blue Bulls banner because he is a teacher at Ben Viljoen.
