Video: Municipality steps in to fix damaged roads

Pothole repairs are underway in Middelburg. Work seen in Celsius & Samora Machel Street, but watch out, trouble spots remain in Boncker, Park & Lilian Ngoyi/Meyer Street. Drive safe!

The Steve Tshwete municipality has started repairing potholes in Middelburg to improve road conditions.

Business owners from the Industrial area contacted the Observer, saying they had seen municipal teams at work in Celsius Street.

In recent days, the municipality has also been busy with roadworks in Samora Machel Street.

While these repairs are welcomed, motorists are urged to remain cautious as several trouble spots still pose risks. Potholes have been reported in Boncker Street, Park Street, and at the corner of Lilian Ngoyi and Protea Street.

According to the municipality’s Facebook page, road repairs are ongoing and more affected streets will follow in the coming weeks.
