A life cut short

N4 tragedy leaves a family reeling in shock.

The Masina family has been left behind with only memories and a great sense of loss after the tragic and sudden loss of their beloved son, Thabo Collen Masina (29).

His family was left reeling in shock as he was a young man with a very promising future ahead, and they described his passing as a great tragedy to the family and his children.

Thabo’s life was tragically cut short following an unexpected car accident along the N4 towards Belfast on Monday morning.

A concerned family member contacted the Middelburg Observer after receiving news of the accident to confirm if it was indeed true.

According to Thabo’s mother, Addis Nomvula Masina, he was born and raised in Nhlazatshe 5, just after Badplaas.

He was staying at Rondebosch in Middelburg and was employed by Siza Coal Services Middelburg Lab.

His mother described him as a humble, down-to-earth and cheerful son, who loved everyone, and was loved by everyone in the community.

Thabo left behind his sister, two daughters, and two sons.

He was not married at the time of his untimely passing.

The funeral will take place on Sunday, September 14, at his home in Nhlazatshe 5.

His family will remember him for his kind heart, laughter, and his love for cleaning, as they gradually come to terms with his passing.
