Fransune third in Abu Dhabi

A former teacher from Middelburg placed third in the SeaWorld Dolphin Run.

“Enjoy a fun adventure run in Abu Dhabi that will take you from One Ocean through all the different realms of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Run past sea otters at the Arctic and sea lions at Rocky Point, discover the world of the Micro-Ocean, watch divers within the Endless Ocean and be careful not to get splashed by the dolphins in the Tropical Ocean.”

Former Laerskool Middelburg teacher Fransune du Toit had the unforgettable privilege of taking part in this unique race on Saturday.

She finished third in 40:53 in the SeaWorld Dolphin Run over 10km.

The race was won by American Laci Hitchcock in a time of 38:46; Manon Larrett from France was second in 39:54.

Fransune was able to show off on the podium with Hitchcock and Larrett afterwards.

She is still teaching, but these days in Abu Dhabi.
