McLaren Circus artist discharged from hospital after fall

Middelburgers were left shocked when a circus performer fell during Saturday’s show, but he has since been discharged from hospital after a concussion.

An artist from the McLaren Circus, who fell during Saturday’s 15:00 performance, was discharged from the hospital earlier today.

The performer was taken to Life Midmed Hospital immediately after the incident for treatment and observation.

Following a full medical evaluation, including a neurological consultation, it was confirmed that he had sustained a concussion.

Karl Hildebrandt (Circus Advance and PR) confirmed the discharge, saying the artist is now resting safely under the circus’s care. The team will continue to monitor his well-being as the show travels.

He expressed their gratitude again for the concern and support shown by the community and said they look forward to welcoming audiences back to enjoy the performances.
