Family thankful after flames brought under control

Chaos erupted as an outside room was engulfed in flames.

A house caught fire this morning on Gilfillan Street.

According to a family member, they were made aware of the fire by an employee who works in their garden.

The fire started in the outside room, and the fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire before flames engulfed the whole house.

The family is extremely grateful, as the damage could have been a lot worse, as gas bottles also exploded during the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but luckily, no one was injured.
