Old sewage line rerouted to stop spill into Olifants

The construction to fix the leaking sewage line has brought relief to many residents who were previously concerned about the contamination.

The old sewage line along the Klein Olifants River near the Kees Taljaard Stadium, which used to spill into the river, is finally being rerouted to address the issue.

Construction of the new sewage line began last Tuesday, undertaken by Mvelanga Investments.

Installation of the new line is expected to be completed by next week.

Many residents previously complained of the sewage line, which used to contaminate the water in the nearby river; one resident even went to the workers on the site and thanked them for finally fixing the problem.
