One person dies in head-on collision on N4

This is the sixth person that died in an accident around Middelburg.

One person died in a head-on collision on the N4 between Vandyksdrif and the Middelburg Toll Plaza just before 20:00.

The driver of the Datsun Go died on the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the Datsun Go drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a white Toyota bakkie.

The driver of the bakkie reportedly did not sustain any serious injuries.

This comes after seven other lives were lost, after an accident in Dullstroom.
