Hailstorm causes damage across Kanonkop and surrounding areas

The calm skies turned into chaos in a matter of minutes, leaving a blanket of ice covering the streets in several areas.

Windows in several homes were left damaged in Njala Street Kanonkop, after a hailstorm that hit at around 17:30.

Other houses on the plots along the Stoffberg road just outside Middelburg also suffered hail damage.

The big hail also affected areas such as Tulip and Renoster Street around Kanonkop.

In Maroela Street, a tree was uprooted and fell across the road, adding to the storm-related damage.
