Relocation of patients from old hospital to King Nyabela hospital has commenced

The relocation process will occur in phases to ensure a smooth transition.

The process of relocating patients from the old Middelburg Provincial Hospital to the newly built King Nyabela Hospital commenced on Thursday October 30.

According to a press release by the Department of Health in Mpumalanga, the relocation will occur in phases, starting with non-clinical areas such as support and administration services.

The relocation of wards or clinical areas will begin on Monday, November 3 and continue as per the relocation plan the department has in place.

The duration of the relocation process cannot be confirmed at this stage.

The Emalahleni Provincial Hospital and Impungwe Hospital will be providing support by accommodating some emergency cases during this period.
