Breaking News: French tourist killed in N4 accident

A French woman died, and three fellow tourists were seriously injured after their vehicle overturned on the N4.

A serious accident claimed the life of a French tourist this afternoon after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the N4.

The incident occurred at around 14:00 on the stretch of road between Alzu and Wonderfontein, leaving a white Toyota Corolla Cross mangled on the roadside.

Inside the vehicle were four French tourists, two men and two women. One woman died on the scene. Emergency services are still working to recover the woman’s body, which remains trapped in the wreckage.

The three surviving tourists sustained serious injuries. They were stabilised and transported to Belfast Hospital for urgent medical care.

Emergency personnel are still on-site, and traffic in the area might be affected as rescue operations continue.
