Middelburg Dam sluice gates to be opened

Residents are warned to stay away from low-lying bridges.

The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality is planning to open the Middelburg Dam sluice gates after the dam has reached its capacity at 97% following heavy rains.

Residents and motorists are warned to steer clear of low-lying bridges and exercise caution.

The gates will be opened at 15:00.
