Three dead, several injured after N4 crash near Middelburg Dam
Traffic is heavily backed up on the N4 after a fatal accident on the Nelspruit bound lane after Klein Olifants River bridge.
A fatal collision involving two vehicles brought traffic on the N4 to a standstill earlier today, leaving three people dead and multiple others injured.
Traffic on the N4 only started to move recently after after a horrific collision involving two vehicles near the Klein Olifants River bridge at about 11:00.
Three people reportedly died in the collision, two passengers and one driver. Two others sustained serious injuries, while three more suffered minor injuries.
According to Moeti Mmusi, spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety and Security Liaison, the two vehicles were travelling in the same direction when one swerved and collided with the other.
A Toyota Hilux and an Opel Corsa were involved in the accident.
A forensics team remained on the scene until about 15:30 to retrieve the bodies of the victims.
