Decomposed body found in Doornkop home

A Doornkop resident who has not been seen since Friday was found murdered in his home this morning (Tuesday) after family members were alerted by concerned neighbours.

The community of Doornkop is still in shock after the discovery of a decomposed body of a local resident in his home earlier today.

A reliable source told the newspaper that neighbours last saw the man on Friday. When they noticed no movement from the house yesterday and today, they contacted his family to check on him.

Upon entering the home, relatives found the gruesome scene.

The man’s head had been smashed with a blunt object, possibly a spade.

Although his identity is known to the newspaper, his name cannot be published until his family has formally identified him.

The police have launched a murder investigation.
