An accident was reported along the N11 near the Arendsrus turn-off towards Loskop Dam, this afternoon, March 15, just after 13:00.

Motorists travelling in the area noticed a white vehicle down an embankment next to the road in rainy conditions.

At the time the scene was first reported, dispatchers alerted emergency and other necessary services.

It remains unclear when the vehicle left the roadway or whether the driver was still at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown.

Motorists travelling along the N11 between Middelburg and Loskop Dam are urged to exercise caution, particularly during wet weather when road surfaces can become slippery.

• UPDATE: According to information received, the driver lost control of the vehicle on account of wet weather conditions. Emergency personnel attended to the driver, who was treated for minor injuries.
