Driver unconscious after tree crash in Meyer Street, Middelburg

A motorist crashed into a tree in Meyer Street near OK Grocer earlier this morning, Sunday March 15, the driver was reportedly found unconscious inside a vehicle.

Emergency services responded to the scene of a crash in Meyer Street near OK Grocer early this morning, Sunday, March 15, after reports of an unconscious driver.

The incident occurred shortly before 07:00, when a vehicle crashed into a tree.

Emergency and other relevant services, including ER24 and a towing service, attended to the driver at the scene.

The driver was reportedly unconscious when assistance was requested. At this stage, the extent of the driver’s injuries remains unclear.

The vehicle sustained significant damage after colliding with the tree. The circumstances surrounding the crash haven’t been confirmed. Emergency personnel worked to secure the scene and assist the driver before the area was later cleared.
