WATCH: Ekwazini Secondary School kids rushed to hospital in pain

Update: At least 43 learners at Ekwazini Secondary School have been taken to the hospital following suspected poisonings.

The number of learners hospitalised after consuming contaminated snacks at Ekwazini Secondary School has risen to 43, with several reported to be in a serious condition.

Parents in the community have expressed concern and anxiety as news of the incident spreads. Some have rushed to the hospital for updates on their children’s conditions, while others, unaware that their children are at the hospital, are panicking.

Videos of the learners arriving at the hospital are circulating on social media.
