Get ready for the Middelburg Care Village Fun Run and Walk

Show you care and run.

Middelburg residents need to lace up their running shoes for a good cause. Middelburg Care Village is hosting a 4.9km Fun Run and Walk next week. The event will take place on March 24, at the Middelburg Country Club, with the run and walk starting at 18:00. Participants can register from 17:00.

The family-friendly event aims to bring the community together while raising awareness and support for the critical work of the Middelburg Care Village. The child and youth care centre has been providing a haven for vulnerable children since 2004.

The centre, which is currently caring for more than 100 children who have experienced abuse, trauma, neglect, or have been orphaned, offers them a place of safety, stability, and support.

Entry costs R50 per person, while children under the age of 12 pay R30. Organisers encourage residents to bring their loved ones along and enjoy an evening of exercise, excitement, and community spirit, while supporting the meaningful cause.

“Every kilometre counts, and every step makes a difference,” one of the organisers said.
