Hekkie Budler to attend Event City boxing tournament

Two title fights headline Saturday’s event alongside a live broadcast of the Springboks match.

Former world champion Hekkie ‘The Hexecutioner’ Budler will attend the boxing tournament at Event City on August 29.

Boxing legend

Budler (born May 18, 1988) held world championships in two weight classes, the World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) minimumweight titles between 2011 and 2016, and the unified WBA (Super) International Boxing Federation and Ring magazine light-flyweight titles in 2018. He fought as a mini-flyweight and light-flyweight.

Main Boxing Promotions is hosting the Bokke & Boxing tournament, which starts at 17:00 at Event City. The Springboks’ match against the All Blacks at DHL Stadium will be broadcast on a big screen.
