Warriors Blackbelt ATA Academy is here!

Warriors Blackbelt ATA Academy moved to their bigger premises in 9 OR Tambo Street.

Warriors run in conjunction with Sambunin George and other clubs.

Watch the warriors at any tournament if you want to know what family is all about.

The club started off under siblings Wikus Ludeke and Charlise Ludeke together with Zaheed Khan.

The club is run under Head Instructor, Sambunin George van Diggelen (Kickboxing Sensei at ATA), who resides in Kriel.
He went out of his way to get the club registered with his good friend, Zaheed Khan.

The three partners bring their own strengths to the business.
Wikus and Charlise are instructors in training under George and assist him with the classes.

They have almost 10 years of experience under their belts in the art of kickboxing and a passion for their art.

Wikus is a professional boxer and Charlise a current Sensei. She will be grading for her blackbelt by the end of the year.
Wikus travelled to Spain for Martial arts championships while Charlise was in Canada and Spain to compete.

Both siblings are currently studying to further their career which they live for. They commented that the club “was not a walk in the park to open. Nothing came on a golden spoon for us. We worked together to get our club this far.”

From cleaning, painting and even cutting of conveyor belts, they all put their hands and heads together to get here.
Zaheed and his team takes care of operations as well as marketing and makes sure whatever is necessary to keep the club in full running condition is taken care off.

Zaheed also has a passion for the health industry and moving in this direction was a natural progression of his interests in the fitness industry.

•The club hopes to contribute to the upliftment of the community by helping to get the less fortunate youth off the streets and introducing them to the discipline of Taekwando and self respect.

“We hear of ladies getting mugged and robbed and they can not defend themselves, kids are being bullied in schools, children are becoming addicts to not only drugs but to social media. This is just a few of the reasons we decided to open the club,” said Zaheed.

•The mission of the club is to succeed in training students from all walks of life irrespective of age, race, color or creed with the intention of building character and self esteem and to influence them positively as South African citizens.

•Their vision is to make Middelburg Warrior Blackbelt ATA Academy the ultimate of the Martial Arts family where one and all will be welcomed warmly with open arms.

•The club is currently being assisted by a Non Profit Organisation, K.I.O.L. (192-420 NPO) in the form of seeking out sponsorships.
Any member of the community who is willing to assist in any way can contact K.I.O.L. on 072 808 3713.

They have open avenues for provincial, national and international opportunities for competition. They will be participating in kickboxing, boxing and Taekwondo tournaments also.
The club has two classes per week. Tuesdays and Thursdays between 18:00 and 19:30.
