MTN Joyous Celebration in Middelburg
Middelburg and Mhluzi residents are in for a treat as the MTN Joyous Celebration tour hits town on 3 and 4 July.
One of South Africa’s most loved gospel ensembles, MTN Joyous Celebration promises an experience like never before and if the ticket sales are anything to go by, Middelburg knows this.
The Joyous Celebration Facebook page said on Wednesday that only 68 tickets were left for sale in Middelburg. Tickets are available at Computicket from R200.
The cast will be performing songs from their 19th album, Back to the Cross. A new addition to the family is renowned comedian Elton Mduduzi Ntuli. Elton, known as ‘The first Ndebele Comic’, promises to bring entertaining and inspiring comedy to the mix.
Become part of the family
More good news is that talent scouts are on the lookout for promising artists to become part of the MTN Joyous Celebration family. Auditions will be held on Friday, 3 July, at the Banquet Hall and will start at 09:00.
To partake in the auditions, you have to be 16 years or older and register beforehand.
To book a spot in the auditions, register by simply sending an SMS as follows: “Name, ID number, vocalist” for those who wish to sign with Joyous or “Name, ID number, type of instrument” for those who wish to form part of the Joyous band. SMS to be sent to 38004 and charged at R10 per SMS.
Applicants on the day will need to come with the reference numbers that they will receive after they have registered. The SMS line will close at 12:00 on the Wednesday, 1 July.
Win tickets, hampers
MTN Joyous Celebration together with the Middelburg Observer offer readers the chance to win one of four hampers or one of five double tickets for the concert.
Sms the word ‘Joy’ followed by your name and contact number to 37940 (sms costs R1,50).
Competition line closes at 12:00 on Thursday 2 July.
Winners will be notified by phone on Thursday and will have to collect their prizes from the Middelburg Observer offices in 41 Meyer Street on Thursday before 16:00 or on Friday before 12:00.
