Business robbery in Vorna Valley

VORNA VALLEY - On 6 December at around 5.20pm, a business burglary occurred at a premises on Albertyn Street, Vorna Valley. Property at an estimated value of R250 000 was stolen.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainant, he received an alarm notification from ADT and proceeded to

the company. Upon his arrival he found ADT security guards waiting outside the yard and immediately he noticed that a security measure beam, that was located at the wall outside the company, had been removed.”

Tlamela said the complainant entered the company building, together with the security guards, to check what had been stolen. Upon further investigation, it was found that the suspects removed some roof tiles to gain entry into the building.

“Four doors and two gates inside were forced open and computers, laptops, screens, wrist watches, cash, polar jackets and printers were stolen,” said Tlamela.

She said no arrests were made and police were investigating, and hoped to bring the suspects to book.

Tlamela said anyone with information that could assist the police in apprehending the suspects, can call Midrand police.
