Christ Church Grade 1 pupils eager to start an activity once everyone arrives for class.
The school welcomed new pupils who were cheerful and eager for school to begin.
Deputy principal, Lisle Twaddle and the teaching staff assisted parents to the classroom where parents spent a few minutes with their children before leaving. Twaddle said, “There are no tears so far because we had a welcoming party for new Grade 1 learners and parents, so everyone feels confident and ready to start a new year of school.”
Parent Kirsty Pascoe and her family came to drop off son Luke for his first day of Grade 1. Pascoe said, “I am excited to see my son begin Grade 1. It is nice to see a sparkle in his eye.”
Another parent Richard Dlamini said of his son, Nathan, “I am so glad my son seems to be enjoying himself so far. I know he will be fine.”
