Halfway House Grade 1 pupils begin school

MIDRAND - New Grade 1 pupils started school on 15 January all around Gauteng.

At Halfway House Primary school the vibrancy of the pupils and the parents was tangible. The principal, Silas Pillay who was excited for his first year as principal said, “We are so excited about the new pupils joining our school, especially the grade ones. They will get through their first day of school with much excitement.”

Pillay added, “The school has a growing reputation as one of the best in the community of Midrand. We uphold high standards and give a holistic approach to our teaching methods. We are lucky to have a very dedicated staff.”

Two mothers, Agnesia Ndau and Judith Sikhosana were two of many parents of Grade 1 pupils who came to drop off their children at the school. Ndau said, “This is the next stage of my son, Sasha’s journey. I am very excited.”

Sikhosana’s son, Jabulani said, “I am happy to be here.”

A Grade 3 pupil, Malaika Murua said, “I am excited to see the Grade 1 learners.”
