“The school had a 97.6 percent pass rate – 205 matric pupils wrote exams last year and 200 of them passed,” said Khumalo.
Midrand High School principal Almarie van Zyl said, “We are very proud of our matric class of 2013. We have a 62 percent bachelor pass. The results are a reflection of a team effort by the school staff and the pupils. We celebrate this achievement.
“We would like to welcome new teachers and a social worker who have joined the Midrand High School teaching staff.”

- Lauren Matthew – six distinctions
- Thembalethu Miya – four distinctions
- Sindi Ncube – three distinctions
- Natasha Narainsamy – three distinctions
