Already, 80 students have been awarded scholarships of up to R16 500, based on their academic achievements in matric.
With some of Varsity College’s qualifications already underway, and the last qualification commencing in the week of 10 February, students still have the opportunity to register with Varsity College and apply for a Learn Scholarship towards their studies, although time is now of the essence.
Vice-principal of Varsity College Midrand David Hannaway said, “We believe it is incredibly important to give back to our surrounding communities, while at the same time recognising and supporting the academic success of deserving students; with this in mind we launched the Learn Scholarship. The scholarship will also be available to students currently in matric, and looking to study with Varsity College Midrand in 2015, so we would encourage the class of 2014 to work hard in pursuit of a great set of matric results, and a sizable Learn Scholarship.”
