The school’s spokesperson Itumeleng Modisakeng said the fundraising carnival will start with a march. “About 1500 people will march, then we will have sporting activities and fun games for adults and children.”
Modisakeng said the aim of the event is to bring together pupils, parents, staff and community members of Midrand in a relaxed and engaging environment. “The interaction helps with the building of cohesion in the school. The funds raised from gate-takings and more will be used to build a swimming pool before end of 2014,” Modisakeng added.
The carnival will be held at Midrand Primary School from 9am until 3pm.
