Pupils raise funds for Cansa

MIDRAND - Pupils at Beaulieu Preparatory School held a hair colour 'sprayathon' on 12 March to create awareness for people who are suffering with cancer.

This drive was the initiative of Hannah Lance and Madison Weidemann who both have a parent struggling with the disease.

At first they only wanted to involve their fellow Grade 4 pupils, but once the other pupils at the school caught wind of the drive, they all wanted to be part of this wonderful initiative to raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).

They rallied their whole school to support the initiative and then they sprayed the hair of pupils at Beaulieu Nursery School and College.

The pupils were all very eager to participate in this fundraising drive.

Weidemann said that she would do it again as it was a lot of fun and she learnt a lot from organising this event with Lance.
