Man allegedly kills partner with scissors
VORNA VALLEY - A man allegedly killed his partner after a domestic dispute at their home in Robin Road, Vorna Valley on 23 March.

He was arrested later that day.
Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said security notified Midrand police that a man was fighting with his partner in their house. Security officers saw the man driving away from the house at high speed. She said the security officers rushed to the man’s house and upon arrival they found the woman, known to be the suspect’s partner, lying on her back on the floor bleeding. She had been stabbed with a pair of scissors.
“Paramedics were called and they certified the woman dead on the scene. A two-year-old child [who was present during the incident] was unharmed and is currently safe with a family member,” said Tlamela.
She said the man was granted bail of R20 000 on 30 March in the Alexandra Regional Court and was due to appear in the same court on 30 April.
