Modisakeng said, “The classes start at 9am on Saturdays, and the aim is to enhance the talent of pupils and bring the arts alive in the community as the activities and classes are now open to the community at large.”
Modisakeng added that drama classes would be on 26 April, 3 May and 10 May. “Pupils will present a five minute monologue, a dance piece and a song of their choice,” she said. “Pupils who want to take part in the Saturday arts classes should be from primary school level and above.”
She added that pupils who wished to do music in these classes would be registered with University of South Africa for exams as the programme was guided by the university’s syllabus. “Pupils will also be registered with Trinity College of Music in London for theory and practical exams,” Modisakeng said.
