Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “In some cases the police struggle to get to the addresses on time due to the invisibility of the street and road numbers.”
She said displaying your house number clearly could save a life as it is the best way to ensure emergency services can find a house quickly.
“The community must ensure that plants and shrubs are not obstructing the numbers and that the numbers are not too small to read from a distance,” said Tlamela.
