“Police responded to reports that a man driving a black Land Rover drove into a fence on a plot on Allan Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and police at the scene said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol,” she said.
“At first witnesses thought the driver of the vehicle was a soccer player due to the Sundowns stickers on his car, but the man said he was just a soccer fan. The incident took place at 11pm on 18 May.”
Tlamela said that by the time police arrived at the scene, the plot owner and the driver of the vehicle reached an amicable agreement and did want not to open a case.
“The two parties have chosen to resolve the matter between them,” she said.
