Register for Ward 112 by-election
JOBURG - The by-election for a new councillor for Ward 112 will be held on 2 July, but for now residents must register to vote in these elections.
Lydia Young of the Independent Electoral Commission communications department said registration closed on 10 June. Young said the uncertified registered population for Ward 112 was 22 379.
Registration will take place on 31 May and 1 June and residents are requested to bring their ID books to register. Residents can register at the Swiss CLub in Vorna Valley, Halfway House Primary School, Cluny Farm, Fly Fishing Adventures, Midrand High, Scorpion College and St. George Complex.
Ward 112 stretches from Allandale Road in the south to Olifantsfontein Road in the north and is bounded by the N1 Johannesburg-Pretoria freeway in the east and Knoppieslaagte Road in the west.
Suburbs within the ward include Bridle Park Agricultural Holdings, Blue Hills Agricultural Holdings, Cluny Farm, Carlswald Agricultural Holdings, Erand, Halfway Gardens, Kyalami Estates, Kyalami Hills, Noordwyk, Summerset, Vorna Valley, Waterval and Willaway.
