100km walk to save the rhino

MIDRAND - Francois Myburgh, a Roodepoort resident, is planning to walk through Midrand and other areas in a bid to save the rhinos.

Myburgh loves rhinos and hopes to play his part in saving them from the poachers.

“I am appealing for funds to sponsor the 100km walk, a campaign to save the rhinos,” he said. “I am very committed to the cause and will begin walking from 8 July at 4am. I will start the walk on Maritz Street in Witpoortjie and walk through Midrand. My final destination is Rustenburg on 11 July.”

Myburgh said he hoped to raise a lot of money through the walk. He added, “My mission for this walk is to raise at least R100 000 towards my 100km rhino walk. All funds raised will be donated to the Kruger National park where I hope the money will improve the safety of rhinos at the park.

“Please donate proper walking shoes, clothing, water, food and accommodation for me for the walk.”

Anyone who wishes to assist Myburgh in cash or kind can contact him at worldwideentertainers@gmail.com
