10111 sees the light

MIDRAND - Midrand-based Gauteng 10111 members held a candlelit memorial on 20 May to remember members and their families who have died of HIV/Aids.

Media liaison officer for Gauteng 10111, Captain Pinky Tsinyane said the theme of the day was ‘Shout until you make sense to somebody’. She said the theme was taken from the Book of St John, Chapter 5: Verse 1 to 16.

Members of 10111 were joined by employee health and wellness’s Warrant Officer Monica Phihlela, Warrant Officer Sivuyile Maqinyana and Warrant Officer Andy Muleya, as they care for people with HIV and their families.

“They encourage members to know that they are not alone; everyone should unite [in an] effort to promote and inform employees. Break myths and uphold the truth about HIV and Aids,” said Tsinyane.
