Body found in storm water drain

IVORY PARK - A body of a man has been found in a storm water drain in near Ivory Park.

Ivory Park police spokesperson Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “The body of an unidentified man was found in Duduza near Ivory Park on 4 June. The man could be between 36 and 40 years in age.”

Warrant Officer Sekgobela added that the deceased is light in complexion, tall and slim.

“We appeal to members of the public to come and report any missing persons that fit his description so that we can identify him. Police suspect that the man was murdered because he was allegedly beaten on the back and had stab wounds to the head,” she said.

“The deceased was found wearing black trousers, a black T-shirt and black takkies. He also had on a blue tracksuit jacket and a blue belt.”
