The Rabie Ridge Community Policing Forum was delighted to receive 100 patrol bibs, two bicycles and 10 batons from the security company on the day.
These will go a long way in assisting the forum members to be effective in the community.
The company’s consultants assisted the community in a clean-up effort at a nearby field identified as a crime hotspot.
The rally also included a drive awareness campaign which involved the police and the security company driving around the area informing the community about safety.
“We were excited to be involved in this rally as it sent a strong message to the community that we need to stand together against crime. It’s only through a group effort that we can truly make a difference,” said Clive Humphrey, managing director of ADT Central Region.
