Rabie Ridge police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said the car was hijacked in Garsfontein in Pretoria by two male suspects and they later dropped it off at a petrol station in Rabie Ridge. The suspects were caught on CCTV footage parking the car and then leaving the garage. Police said they do not know why the suspects decided to leave the vehicle there and walk away.
“No arrests have been made as police are still looking for the suspects. The owner of the car is very happy to have his car back,” he said.
Nhlongo explained that the car was taken to Benoni to be verified by police vehicle experts before being returned to the owner.
