Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “Police were busy patrolling around the area and spotted a silver VW Polo that was making a U-turn on Le Roux Street, however while turning, the VW Polo bumped a Community Police Forum member’s vehicle, a silver Toyota Fortuner.”
Tlamela said the suspect then got out of his vehicle and ran away. Midrand police gave chase and managed to catch him.
“The suspect was searched and the police found five packets of dagga hidden in the suspect’s pants. Later the arresting officer, Constable Partney Shaai noticed
that the suspect was injured and he was taken to Tembisa Hospital for medical attention,” said Tlamela.
