Security company and councillor keep dogs warm
GLEN AUSTIN - Ria Sebetsa Security Services and Ward 112 councillor Candice James donated much-needed goods at the Midrand SPCA on Mandela Day.
The security companys’ managing director, Danny Maduray said the visit to the SPCA was a joint venture between the security company and Ward 112. The security company donated blankets for the animals and James and her team brought cup cakes for staff, and linen and dog beds. Maduray said, “As a company we wanted to give back to the SPCA because they take in a lot of stray animals. We are here to show our support and appreciation to the organisation.”
James said, “The SPCA does a lot of good work, this is our way of showing support for all the work they do.”
SPCA chairperson Brenda Lucas said the organisation was grateful for all the support they had received on Mandela Day. “We use 1.8 tons of dog food per month. It costs us R10 000 to get 20 days worth of dog food, any donations make a great difference to us.”
