Midrand school robbed

MIDRAND - A Midrand school was robbed of property with an estimated value of R21 000.

This according to Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela who said, “It is alleged that four unknown suspects robbed the school. The school security guard informed the complainant that while patrolling the schoolyard, he was approached by two suspects armed with a crowbar and a stick.”

The suspects forced the security guard into one of the offices and took his cellphone and wallet. Two other suspects were also in the office.

“The suspects left and the guard saw them running away from the school. Upon further investigation it was found that the suspects also stole a computer server, a computer screen, two more cellphones and R9 000 before leaving the scene,” she said.

Tlamela said no arrests had been made. Police are still investigating the matter.
