Free health check

HALFWAY HOUSE - Life Carstenhof Clinic in Midrand provided a wellness screening at Halfway House Primary School, where the Zim Catholic South Africa church hosted a family fun day.

The clinic’s marketing and communications co-ordinator, Karabo Motsoagae said Midrand residents turned out in their numbers.

“The doctors worked tirelessly from morning till evening, it was a team effort… that helped get so many people checked out.”

For wellness screening the doctors achieved the following:

  •  147 people were screened for all health issues
  •  30 people were identified as having health hazards and more blood pressure checks were made
  •  60 people were referred for evaluation for hypertension, obesity and diabetes
  •  38 people with minor injuries had the injuries dressed and treated
  •  2 major injuries were referred to a hospital in Midrand.
