Ivory Park Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “The suspects broke into a home in Ivory Park where a couple was sleeping. The suspects shot and injured both victims in the abdomen and stole R400 and a cell phone from the couple.”

The victims are still in hospital. The police have opened a case of attempted murder.

“The same suspects have been linked to a rape and robbery in Ivory Park Extension 14. They raped a woman who told them she is HIV positive, but they took turns raping her and did not use protection.”
