TV station launched in Midrand

MIDRAND - Jacaranda FM based in Midrand officially launched LekkerTV, a television initiative, in partnership with KykNet Musiek.

The radio station’s communication officer Ryan van Heerden said South African celebrities, musicians, television stars and media moguls attended the launch.

He said, “We had a mock TV studio to introduce LekkerTV with guests who included LekkerTV’s presenters Rian van Heerden, Janina Oberholzer, Robbie Kruse, Barney Simon Frankie du Toit, Martin Bester and Morne JK. We are excited about this new venture.”

“LekkerTV, which had its on-air debut on Kyknet on 4 October, offers viewers nine hours of non-stop music and entertainment, a fresh way for Jacaranda FM fans to interact with their favourite presenters.”

At the launch, Bester conducted an on-air live show interview with Jacaranda FM’s station manager Kevin Fine who spoke about the radio station’s ambition to be innovative and entertaining, on radio or on LekkerTV.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and a chance to take photos with celebrities.

LekkerTV will broadcast every Saturday on DSTV channel 146 from 10am to 7pm.
