Theft plan foiled

KYALAMI - Two suspects tried to steal a TV at a complex unit in Kyalami, but were frightened off and chased by a security company.

Midrand Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant said she locked up her doors at night and slept. In the morning she was woken up by her helper who had arrived and told the complainant that the TV was missing from the lounge.”

The complainant was puzzled by this and checked the house for the TV and did not find it. “She went out to ask the security guards if they had seen anyone carrying her TV, and they told her the TV is in front of one of the Units at the complex where the suspects abandoned it when the security company chased after them.”

The complainant took the TV back to her place and noticed the sliding door had been forced open. ” The suspects got away when they were chased by the security company. No arrests have been made yet,”said Tlamela.
