Constable Neldah Sekgobela said, “The complainant at the supermarket at Swazi Inn said he was in his office when he heard one of the cashiers screaming in the shop. He went outside to check and found two unknown men pointing a firearm at the cashier and demanding to know where the safe is.” The complainant took the suspects to a room where the safe was and robbers stole an undisclosed amount of money.
In a separate case at a clothing store in Allandale, a complainant alleges that two suspects entered her office and pointed a firearm at her. Allegedly in that time, there was an undisclosed amount of money on the table. “The complainant said the money was about to be taken to a safe by one of the members of staff when the robbery took place. The suspects took the money and took all the cellphones on display in the shop. Two more suspects were allegedly waiting outside,” said Sekgobela.
The suspects got away in a white VW Polo vehicle. Police are looking for the suspects. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects in both robberies must contact Ivory Park police on 011 990 9600.
